Inaugural Upstairs Art Gallery and Student Exhibition 2007: Upstairs Art Studio and Gallery was officially opened on Sunday 9th December, 2007 by Brad Franks, the Arts Centre Manager of the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre. Over 70 students works were exhibited as well as a number of works by Rodney Swansborough. Brian Duck won the inaugural student winner award, and Gilly Paterson and Theresa Byrne both recieved commendation awards. The student exhibition was judged by local water colour artist Jean Davies.

 

The 2008 'Upstairs Art' Annual Student Exhibition and Awards - was held on Sunday 7th December 2008 - at the 'Upstairs Art' Galleries and Studios. The exhibition was opened by the highly respected international and national artist, Hanna Kay. The student's awards were judged by the very successful local artist, Roberta Wiseman

"Upstairs Art - Artists of the Upper Hunter" Exhibition - was held in the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre from 18th September to 16th October 2009. The exhibition featured art works created by some 25 students from the Upstairs Art Studio who have regularly attended classes. Many of the students have been attending art classes for over 18 months. Their work reflects a diversity of styles, media and composition.
